Katrina Fanning Shield: Round 13 Preview
Round 13 of the Katrina Fanning Shleid will commence across the region on the weekend, with three close matches that could shake up the ladder.
Woden Valley Rams v Belconnen United Sharks, Woden Park, Saturday 18th July, 10:50 am
The Woden Valley Rams will host the Belconnen Sharks in a top-four clash at Woden Park.
With the Rams coming off a 16-10 deficit against the Warriors in Round 12 and currently sitting fourth, they will be looking for redemption and a bounce back in their Round 13 clash.
For the Sharks, they are currently sitting second following their 38-6 victory over the Bushrangers in Round 12 and will be looking to keep their winning momentum going into the back end of the season.
The last time these two sides faced off was not too long ago in round nine, where the Sharks walked away with the 18-12 win.
Yass Magpies v Tuggeranong Bushrangers, Walker Park, Saturday 18th July, 12:00 pm
The Yass Magpies will return to Walker Park on Saturday to host the Bushrangers in a midday clash.
With the Magpies currently sitting seventh following their 12-all draw against the Queanbeyan Blues, they will be seeking a win in front of a home crowd.
Meanwhile, for the Bushrangers, they will be looking for a bounce-back win following their 38-6 deficit against the Sharks last weekend.
The last time these two sides met was back in round seven, where the Bushrangers took home the 20-4 win.
West Belconnen Warriors v Gungahlin Bulls, Raiders Belconnen, Sunday 19th July, 12:00 pm
The top-of-the-table Warriors will host the Gungahlin Bulls at Raiders Belconnen in a Sunday afternoon special.
Off the back of their 16-10 win against the Rams in round 12, they will be looking to add another win to their scoreboard.
Meanwhile, the Bulls are currently sitting third following their round 12 bye and will be fresh, ready to go and looking to create a threat to the top four.
The last time these teams faced off was back in round five, where the Warriors walked away victors with a 26-14 win.
The Queanbeyan Blues have the bye in Round 13, and we will welcome the girls back in Round 14 against the West Belconnen Warriors.
