The Raiders NSW Cup side returned to the winner's circle on Saturday night, defeating the Magpies 32-4 at home.
Wests scored their first and final try of the evening through Jeral Skelton in the corner.
It was one-way traffic from then on as Canberra piled on six straight tries to bag an important win.
Savelio Tamale scored the first two of the night before Chevy Stewart put the nail in the coffin with a 70 metre dash to score under the posts in the final minute.
The Raiders have a tough schedule of games ahead, taking on three top five sides as they look to make a finals run.

The Raiders JF Cup side were defeated 34-26 in a tight loss to the Tigers.
With plenty of points scored, the Raiders weren't able to overcome the Tigers second half attack.
Canberra captain Braydon Darmody crossed for a try early after halftime to give the Raiders their only lead of the afternoon.
The Tigers quickly responded as they ran away with the eight-point victory.
Saturday's loss puts some pressure on the Raiders as they currently sit five points outside the top five with only four games and a bye remaining.
