Katrina Fanning Shield: Round 15 Wrap

Round 15 Blumers Katrina Fanning Shield saw two exciting matches as the top four begins to take shape.

Gungahlin Bulls 28 def. Belconnen United Sharks 20

The Gungahlin Bulls claimed another massive scalp on the weekend claiming an eight-point victory over the Belconnen United Sharks at home.

Gungahlin centre Molly Sturgiss continued her strong form for the Bulls, with a double in her side's victory which sees them cemented into finals football.

Meanwhile, the Sharks missed an opportunity to join the Warriors at the top of the table on 18 competitions, with their fourth loss of the season, goal kicking proved the difference as Belconnen scored the same amount of tries as their opponents.

The Belconnen United Sharks have the weekend off with the bye, whilst the Gungahlin Bulls travel to Seiffert Oval to face the Queanbeyan Blues.

Woden Valley Rams 32 def. Queanbeyan Blues 28

The Woden Valley Rams kept their top two chances alive with a nail-biting four-point victory against the Queanbeyan Blues at Seiffert Oval.

Lara Cosgrove's late season form continued with the fleet footed fullback producing a double in her side's victory that sees them one win outside the top two.

Whilst, for the Queanbeyan Blues the defeat sees the end of their final's chances, however they will take plenty of confidence from their competitiveness in this year's competition into next season.

The Woden Valley Rams have the weekend off with the bye, whilst the Blues remain at home against the Gungahlin Bulls.
