The Toyota Forklifts Canberra Raiders NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg sides claimed a win and loss in Sunday's action against the Newcastle Knights.

The Raiders Jersey Flegg Cup side claimed an impressive 38-26 victory over the Knights on Sunday at Raiders Belconnen.

In a points fest, both sides traded tries in the first term, with the Raiders holding a tight 24-20 lead at halftime.

Canberra kicked away in the second half with James Croker picking off an intercept and running 90 metres to score the match sealer.

Canberra will turn their attention to Cronulla this Saturday in the curtain raiser to NRL at Ocean Protect Stadium.

Knock On Effect NSW Cup

In wet conditions, the Raiders fell 20-16 to the Knights at GIO Stadium on Sunday night.

Sione Finau, Coby Black and Chevy Stewart all crossed the stripe in the first half to establish a 16-12 lead over the visitors at halftime.

However it was the Knights that capatilised in the second half with Wilson De Courcey claiming a second half double to steal the victory in the final minutes.

The Raiders travel to Sydney this weekend to face the Newtown Jets in round 24 of the NSW Cup.
