Jamie Mazzarol Kotz Wins the 2026 Les McIntyre Medal

Jamie Mazzarol Kotz of the Queanbeyan Blues has won the 2026 Les Mcintyre Medal, recognised as the best and fairest of the Canberra Raiders Cup competition.

The Blues centre narrowly edged out finalists Richie Levita and Tristian Eldridge, securing the award by three votes.

2026 was Jamie's second season in the Blumers Lawyers Canberra Raiders Cup, transition to Rugby League from Union at the beginning of last year, with the talented outside back taking his game to another level this season.

The success of Mazzarol Kotz has been mirrored by his side's performances with the Blues qualifying for the Major Semi Final, as they look to go back-to-back for the first time since 2014-15.

Along with the Les McIntyre Medal, Mazzarol Kotz was recognised as the competitions top points and try scorer.

Payge Salinas from the Queanbeyan Blues has been recognised as the best and fairest in the Katrina Fanning Shield, earning the 2026 Maree Bush Medal.

Salinas extends her record as the most decorated player in the Katrina Fanning Shield, with last night being the third time she has claimed the competitions top honor.

Payge polled 31 votes, finishing well clear of fellow contenders Reese Paunovic and last year's winner Lara Cosgrove.
