The Toyota Forklifts Canberra Raiders are excited to announce the signing of forwards Jaiyden Hunt and Lipoi Hopoi, who will join the club for the next two seasons.
The addition of Hunt and Hopoi will further boost the club’s forward stocks as both players join the club for an opportunity to continue their NRL careers.
Jaiyden Hunt joins the Raiders, having played 40 NRL games across six seasons at both the Brisbane Broncos and St George Illawarra Dragons.
Aged 28, Hunt has played predominantly in the second row at NRL level while showing his versatility, playing in the front row across 70 NSW and QLD Cup games.
Lipoi Hopoi joins the Raiders, having debuted for the Bulldogs in 2024 before going on to play 17 NRL matches over the past two seasons.
Aged 24, Hopoi has also showcased his utility value, playing everywhere in the forwards across NRL and NSW Cup level.
Hopoi will commence pre-season training in early November in the rehab group, returning from a knee injury suffered in the final round of the NSW Cup this season.
Raiders NRL Recruitment Manager Chris Hutchison was excited about the addition of Jaiyden and Lipoi and continuing their respective careers at the Raiders.
“I’m really looking forward to having both of these guys join the club for the next two seasons,” Hutchison said.
“Jaiyden is a hard-working player and he will bring a lot of value and experience to the club, having been apart of a premiership squad last year.
“Lipoi is a player we’ve watched for years. He’s another hard-working middle forward who is capable of playing big minutes and a player who we believe can make the next step in his young NRL career,” Hutchison added.
