The Canberra Raiders can confirm that Matt Allwood will be departing the club at the end of the 2014 season to take up a three year deal with the New Zealand Warriors.
Allwood said it was a tough decision for him to move away from the Raiders after coming through their junior development program into the NRL and thanked the club for helping him to develop his career.
“I’m very grateful for the opportunity the Raiders have given me to play at the club from a junior level and to make my NRL debut with them is something I’ll never forget,” Allwood said. “Although I’ve signed a new deal with the Warriors, I’m still committed to playing out the season for the Raiders and hopefully finishing my time with the club on a high.”
