What:    Come & Try Wheelchair Rugby League Day

Date:     28th June

Venue: Southern Cross Club Basketball Courts Tuggeranong

Time:     6:00-8:00 pm

The aim of these come & try events is to generate enough interest to commence an ACT & Districts Wheelchair Rugby League competition.

Wheelchair Rugby League is an inclusive sport so it is open to anyone who can (or would like to learn) how to push a chair.

It is open to both AB’s (able body) as well those with a disability regardless of age, sex, or ethnicity.

It is as close as possible to the running game as can be:- played with a rugby league ball, 6 tackles, all passes must be backwards, tries scored in normal manner, goals “kicked” with a closed fist off a specially designed kicking tee etc. only major difference is that there are no scrums.

At the come and try day there will be two current Australian players.

The players attending will be Brad Grove (Aust VC for 2013 World Cup) & Jason Attard (Only AB in the Aust 2013 World Cup squad).

Assisting on the night will be Michael Johnson 2013 World Cup tour manager.
