The Canberra Raiders have suffered another injury blow, with Jordan Rapana ruled out for the remainder of the season with a fractured skull.
Rapana sustained a blow to the supraorbital part of his skull (Just below forehead) and will require surgery to repair the damage. He’ll meet with the surgeon this week and will not play again this year.
It’s a setback for the Raiders fullback who was among the sides best for the last two games, after making his Raiders debut against the Eels in round 22.
Brett White will also miss this weekend’s match against the Sharks with a groin strain, with the veteran prop set to miss between 1-2 weeks.
The two join a long list of injuries for the Raiders, with David Shillington (Pectoral), Shaun Fensom (Knee), Kurt Baptiste (Shoulder) and Jeff Lynch (knee) all unavailable for the rest of the season.
Terry Campese (oblique) and Brenko Lee (Hamstring) will be assessed this week but are still in doubt for Sunday’s match against the Sharks.
