Sportslife iQ Directors Frank Arsego and Glen Baird provide an overview of the outstanding health and well-being education program that they have been implementing throughout the grades at the Canberra Raiders, from under 16's through to the NRL squad.
The Sportslife iQ program looks to support and educate athletes in the areas of health and wellbeing in order for them to fulfil their personal life and professional sporting goals.
The training services offered by SportsLife iQ are intended to improve the wellbeing of athletes.
In the world of sport today, athletes are being subjected to stressors, challenges and standards that, when not addressed, will leave athletes with significant impacts on their sports/professional and personal wellbeing. As fundamental skills are an integral part of sport, we believe athletes require a certain set of life fundamentals to be able to achieve the correct balance.
The services include a solution oriented approach to training, support, outreach and counselling. These products can be adapted to clients across the sporting spectrum, from the underage grass roots athlete, through to the full time elite sportsperson.
Sportslife iQ's products and services aim to develop resilient athletes to deal with the associated adversities and benefits that come with their profession. This will support them when facing personal and public perceptions that are placed on sportspeople and their roles in society.
While health, wellbeing and psychological services have been provided to the industry for approximately 15 years, SportsLife iQ is in a highly superior position. Their two Directors, Frank and Glen, have experience in national and international professional sport, in both coach and player capacity, and health, wellbeing and counselling operations.
With the unique design of services and dynamic and highly experienced staff, SportsLife iQ has been a wonderful addition to the club in supporting and developing resilient athletes and their teams, both on and off the field.
