GIO Stadium will be the place to be on Saturday, with a triple header of rugby league action complemented by heaps of entertainment and promotions happening on and around the ground. The theme for the game is ‘Members Recognition Round’, fitting given the Raiders have recently surpassed 11,000 members for the first time ever before the season starts.

Members

Members at the game receive 10% off all food and 20% off all merchandise. Merchandise from Raiders Shop will be set up in the East and West forecourts, and also in the East Concourse. Stocked with all the latest Raiders gear, including New Era caps, make sure you stop by and check them out.

Members who attend all 12 home games in 2016 will also be in the running to win a players jersey off their back at the last home game of the season. It won’t be too late to become a member on game day, with a Raiders membership marquee located out the front of the West gate.

With temperature set to hover in the low to mid 30s for the game, members and grandstand ticket holders will have access to the West Members Lounge from 10.30am. Just show your membership card or ticket and you will be given entry to the lounge. There will be a Member lucky door prize, kids’ activities, member rates for drinks (2.00pm-2.30pm) and an interview with Assistant Coach Dean Pay when teams are announced just after 2pm.

Entertainment

In the west forecourt there is now a Food and Beverage Hub setup to grab some quick snacks on your way into GIO Stadium, including a simple Sausage Sandwich like you get at park footy, and you can enjoy these offerings whilst sitting down and listening to some music and watching the kids on Victor’s Viking Ship or challenging themselves on the ActewAGL Pass the Ball.

The Huawei High Ball Challenge will return at half-time of the NRL game, with Raiders members participating who were selected off our Facebook page. Huawei prizes are up for grabs for the lucky participants who will test their catching skills under the high ball. Coca-Cola and the Lighthouse Pub will also be running competitions during half-time, adding to fan engagement, so make sure you keep an eye on the big screen.

The Raiders cheer squad, The Emeralds, will return again in 2016. Make sure you are watching at half-time to see their energetic dance performance.
