The top four has begun to take shape after another exciting round of action in the Austbrokers Canberra Raiders Cup.

Gungahlin Bulls 12 defeated Goulburn Workers 8

Gungahlin Bulls kept their strong season going with a tense four point win over a spirited Goulburn Workers side.

With both teams scoring two tries, it was the boot of Jake Scholes which proved to be the difference. His two conversions were enough to give the Bulls their third win of the season and keep their spot in the top four.

Tuggeranong Bushrangers 30 defeated Woden Valley Rams 10

The Bushrangers made it two from two with a solid 30-10 victory over the Rams. In getting their second win for the season the Bushrangers have now won as many games in the first five rounds as they did in the whole 2015 season.

Coach Peter Laurent was extremely pleased with the win after injuries hampered his side throughout the opening rounds.

"What I really liked was that at the back end, there was a lot of dropped ball and it was messy, but we were able to hold on," Laurent said.

"I'm really happy. We've got a new squad and a lot of young guys that are learning to trust each other."

Matt Lyons and Brendan Brophy both scored doubles for the Bushrangers in the promising win.

Queanbeyan Blues 48 defeated Yass Magpies 4

The Blues cemented their spot on top of the ladder with a dominant victory over the Yass Magpies.

Blues centre Alex Tulolo crossed for four tries in the rout, with captain Tyler Stevens and Aaron McInnes also crossing for two each.

Tulolo has impressed Blues coach Simon Woolford in his first season with the club.

"Alex has been finding his feet. He was playing reserve grade and not really training that often when he was at Tuggeranong, but he did a good job against our reserve grade side in the grand final last year," Woolford said.

"We saw him as someone with real potential, so we picked him up, he got himself fit and he's been building to a performance like today."

Queanbeyan Kangaroos 34 defeated Belconnen United Sharks 20

The Kangaroos kept their spot in the top four with a hard-fought win over the Belconnen United Sharks.

Brent Crisp scored a double for the Kangaroos in the six tries to four victory.

Belconnen United remain winless at the bottom of the ladder, however they are showing encouraging signs with a first win likely to only be around the corner.
