The Canberra Raiders make their long-awaited return to GIO Stadium this Sunday against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.

We’ve put together a list of five things we can’t wait to see as the Green Machine look to notch up back-to-back wins for the first time since Round 2.

What do you think? Is there anything else you can’t wait to see this weekend? Head over to our Facebook page and let us know!

The return of Sia

Sia Soliola has been named to make his return to action after recovering from an arm fracture in Round Five against the Bulldogs.

Soliola was one of our most destructive players in the opening five weeks of the competition, and his return will bolster our imposing forward pack.

His return couldn’t have come at a better time, with the Raiders set to come up against one of the world’s best forwards in James Graham.

Battle of the Poms

Speaking of Bulldogs enforcer James Graham, he will line up against two of his England teammates in our own Josh Hodgson and Elliott Whitehead.

Hodgson has been in stellar form throughout 2016, with the crafty number nine currently leading the Dally M voting after a string of classy performances.

Whitehead has proved to be an unstoppable force so far in his first season down under, consistently making metres with ball in hand as well as racking up 30+ tackles per game.

This is our house

You can bet that there will be one thought going through the minds of our players as they run out onto GIO Stadium this Sunday… “It feels good to be home!”

This Sunday marks our first home game in five weeks, and Raiders fans everywhere will be hoping for a repeat of that day’s exploits – a 60-6 demolition of the Tigers.

A return to the winners circle on Saturday night will have the Raiders brimming with confidence as our boys look to cement a spot inside the top eight.

Fresh Fades for free-to-air

Don’t be surprised if you bump into a few Raiders stars in barber shops this weekend getting some fresh fades, making sure they look slick.

This can only mean one thing… A return to free-to-air television! The Green Machine will be beamed into living rooms around the nation on Channel Nine for just the second time in 2016. Rest assured that everyone will be able to see the entire field this time, after the power issue at UOW Jubilee Stadium a few weeks ago.

No word yet as to whether or not former barber Jordan Rapana will be cutting his teammates’ hair.

Austin vs Reynolds

Two names that had been thrown around for a potential start in the Origin arena, Blake Austin goes head-to-head with former Blues five-eighth Josh Reynolds this weekend.

The two are sure to put on a show as they look to push their case for selection come Origin 2 next month.

Austin isn’t the only Raiders half with a point to prove, with City halfback Aidan Sezer lining up in club land this week, despite being arguably the best half on the paddock in City vs Country a few weeks ago.
