The Raiders have granted forward Frank-Paul Nuuausala a release from the remainder of his contract with the Raiders, to take up a new deal with Wigan in the English Super League.

Nuuausala joined the Raiders from the Roosters at the beginning of the 2015 season and played 31 matches for the club in his 18 months in Canberra.

Nuuausala said he was looking forward to the opportunity to take on the next challenge in his career and wished the Raiders all the best for the remainder of the season and the future.

“The opportunity to head to England and continue my career was too good to turn down and I’m looking forward to the new challenge of playing for Wigan in the Super League,” Nuuausala said. “I want to thank the Raiders for my time in Canberra as I’ve really enjoyed it. This current group of players is building something special for the future and although I won’t be a part of it I will continue to watch them progress as a team and I wish them nothing but the best.”

The Raiders would like to thank Nuuausala for his time at the club and wish him all the best for the future.
