Jordan Rapana is adamant that the Canberra Raiders can achieve something special in 2018 as the New Zealand international returns from his holiday break.

The Raiders winger enjoyed an extended break from the World Cup and is glad to be back with his teammates in the new year.

"Im really excited, I've been following the boys hard work in pre-season on social media and it's great to be back among them," Rapana said.

"For me personally, I'm just ready to get back out on the field again and I really believe that we have something special this year and it's great to be a part of it."

The Raiders leading try scorer in 2017 enjoyed spending some quality time overseas with his partner where he visited Singapore and Thailand.

"I managed to spend some time with my partner in Thailand, Singapore and then back home to see my family on the Gold Coast."
