Raiders forward Joe Tapine has received some positive news surrounding a thumb injury.

After consultations with medical staff Tapine won't require surgery on his injured thumb and will miss between 1-2 matches. 

Raiders outside back Michael Oldfield continues to work on his return from a groin injury. 

Raiders Injury/Suspension

NAME: Joe Tapine

INJURY: Thumb

EXPECTED RETURN: Round 4-5

NOTE: Tapine will not require surgery on an injured thumb and will miss 1-2 weeks.

NAME: Michael Oldfield

INJURY: Groin

EXPECTED RETURN: Round 4-6

NOTE: Oldfield picked up a groin injury at training and will continue to be assessed by the Canberra Raiders rehabilitation staff.
