West Belconnen Warriors v Belconnen United Sharks
3pm, Sunday May 26, Raiders Belconnen

The Battle of Belconnen is the Match of the Round this weekend as the Warriors and Sharks both enter the match in winning form.

The Warriors were 38-22 winners over the high flying Bulldogs in Round 6 and will be wanting to put in another strong performance at home as they continue to search for consistent performances.

West Belconnen are currently two competitions points off the top spot and are currently sitting in fourth.

The Sharks finally ended their wait for a win as they edged out the Yass Magpies at O’Connor last weekend.

Scott Logan will be aiming to coach his side to victory in this fixture for the second time after they defeated the Warriors at Raiders Belconnen in 2017.

Both sides have similar defensive records this season with the Sharks having conceded 24 more points so far. However, the Warriors have been more efficient in attack having scored 90 more points in five games this season.

Goulburn Workers Bulldogs v Queanbeyan Blues
2:15pm, Sunday May 26, Workers Arena

Two sides near the top of the table will be looking to return to winning ways this Sunday when the Goulburn Workers Bulldogs host the Queanbeyan Blues.

The Goulburn side currently have eight competition points but their form has dipped in recent weeks with the side having lost two of their last three matches.

However, the Bulldogs are unbeaten at home this season and will be looking to move above the Blues on the ladder.

Terry Campese’s side suffered their first loss of the season last weekend as they succumbed to the Gungahlin Bulls on Sunday.

Sitting one place behind the top of the table Bushrangers on the ladder, the Blues will be hoping for an opportunity to claim top spot.

Queanbeyan Kangaroos v Gungahlin Bulls
3pm, Sunday May 26, Seears Workwear Oval

The Queanbeyan Kangaroos have had a stuttering start to the 2019 season and the competition heavyweights find themselves in seventh place.

The Kangaroos have the third best defensive record and the fifth best attack in the competition but have only claimed one win this season.

Aaron Gorrell’s side will be up against one of the surprise packets this season in the Gungahlin Bulls who currently sit in sixth place and have claimed impressive wins against Woden and the Queanbeyan Blues.

After a slow start to the season, the Gungahlin Bulls have won two of their last three matches and are only two competition points behind third place.

Yass Magpies v Tuggeranong Bushrangers
3pm, Sunday May 26, Walker Park

The bottom of the ladder Yass Magpies host the top of the table Tuggeranong Bushrangers at Walker Park on Sunday.

The Magpies who recruited a strong contingent of players from the Bushrangers will be looking to claim their second win of the year and kickstart their season.

Tuggeranong enter the match off the back of their first loss of the season. The Bushrangers lost against fierce rivals the Woden Valley Rams 26-18 last Saturday and will be eager to bounce back.

A win for the Bushrangers would mean they hold on to their place at the top of the ladder but a loss could see them slip to fourth.
