The NRL Referees will be wearing black armbands for all games over the weekend as a mark of respect for the passing of Noel Bissett. Noel’s NRL Referee number is 39.
Noel refereed in the NSWRL Premiership when the Canberra Raiders were admitted to the Premiership in 1982. He also refereed a record 11 Grand Finals at local level and was a Life Member of the NSW Referees Association among many other honours.
