Junior Rep Round 2 Wrap

The Raiders Junior Representative sides competed fiercely in all three grades as they travelled to Camden for round two.

Tarsha Gale Cup

The Canberra Raiders took on the Wests Tigers in the live stream match and put on a strong display before ultimately suffering a narrow defeat.

Klaudia Osztrenkovics scored the opening try for the Raiders but the Tigers hit back with two tries.

Jaxan Blackhall gave the Raiders a sniff of the two competition points but Tehillah Vaeluaga sealed the win for the Tigers.

The result sees the Raiders finish the round in seventh place.

S.G. Ball Cup

The Raiders made it two wins from two after they held on to claim another tight win.

Both the Raiders and the Western Suburb Magpies entered the match with wins under their belt but it was the Green Machine who started the brighter of the two sides.

Sione Moala, Noah Saddler and Clay Webb all scored tries as the Raiders held a 16-0 lead.

The Magpies fought their way back into the match in the second half with two tries but the Raiders defence held firm to claim the victory.

The result sees the Raiders finish the round on top of the ladder as the only side to have two wins from the opening two rounds.

Harold Matthews Cup

The Canberra Raiders faced the Western Suburb Magpies at Camden and ultimately went down in a 32-14 defeat.

Blake Halls scored a double for the Raiders, while Michael Griffiths also registered a try in the match.

However, doubles to Faaletino Tavana and Ofele Lene saw the Magpies seal the win.
