CRC First Grade Team of the Year 2021 - Wingers

Having collected all the votes from the McIntyre Medal tally, here is the 2021 Blumers Lawyers Canberra Raiders Cup First Grade Team of the Year.

To separate players on the same number of votes, the player in the side that finished highest on the ladder is included. If the two players are from the same team, the player who scored the most tries will be selected.

Players who were guilty of a charge throughout the course of the season are not eligible for this team.

Wingers: George Morseu (2 votes) & Livai Kaloutolu (2 votes)

The Queanbeyan Blues had the best attack in the competition this year, with their winger George Morseu starring on the right edge.

The 40-year-old scored ten tries in 12 games, including a hat-trick in the final round game against the Yass Magpies. He also kicked four goals throughout the season.

Morseu picked up his two votes in the opening game against the Belconnen United Sharks.

In his first season in the Canberra Raiders Cup, Belconnen United Sharks winger Livai Kaloutolu was very impressive.

The 19-year-old scored four tries during the season, bringing plenty of energy to the Sharks backline with strong carries from his own end and dangerous attack.

Kaloutolu played the first four games in the winger position, before shifting to fullback for the remainder of the season.

His two votes came in the round four clash against the Queanbeyan Kangaroos.

Notable mention: Steven Cummins - 1 vote (Goulburn City Bulldogs)

Team of the Year 2021

1. Tristan Eldridge (Gungahlin Bulls)

2. George Morseu (Queanbeyan Blues)

5. Livai Kaloutolu (Belconnen United Sharks)
