NSW Cup & Jersey Flegg: Round 20 Preview

The Canberra Raiders Cup and Flegg sides are back in action this weekend at home against the Parramatta Eels.

Knock On Effect NSW Cup

The Raiders NSW Cup side will be looking refreshed after the bye round when they take on the Eels this Saturday evening.

It shapes up to be a huge game for the Raiders season as they currently sit in tenth on the ladder, outside the top eight by two points.

They face an in-form Parramatta side who have won three of their past four and will be looking for another victory to cement their spot in finals.

The last time these sides met was back in round six, where a crucial opening half of footy handed the Eels a 28-20 win over the Raiders.

The NSW Cup match will follow the NRL and NRLW matches at GIO Stadium on Saturday night.

Jersey Flegg Cup

The Canberra Raiders JF Cup side return home to Raiders Belconnen to take on the Eels on Saturday morning.

After a terrific 34-6 win over the Silktails in Fiji last week, the Raiders are in full flight as they look to re-gain top spot on the ladder.

Meanwhile, their opposition have had a mixed run of form of late, dropping games to Penrith and the Dragons by hefty margins.

The Eels will need to return to their best, which is definitely good enough after the fifth placed side ran away 44-6 winners over the Raiders back in round six.

Canberra currently sit one win behind Melbourne, who occupy top spot on the ladder heading into the final seven weeks of the competition.
