NSW Cup & Jersey Flegg: Round 11 Preview

The Toyota Forklifts Canberra Raiders Flegg & Cup sides will turn GIO Stadium into a fortress this Sunday, hosting the Panthers in an epic triple header.

Jersey Flegg Cup

The Canberra Raiders Jersey Flegg squad kick off a huge Sunday of action at GIO Stadium in an exciting match-up against the Penrith Panthers.

The Raiders have dropped to ninth on the ladder following their 28-20 loss to the Roosters last week. Meanwhile, the Panthers are currently second on the ladder after a dominant performance over the Sea Eagles.

The Raiders have named an unchanged squad, while the Panthers have made a variety of swaps despite their success last week.

The Raiders fell away in the final 10 minutes in last weekend's loss against the Roosters and coach Macey will be looking for a more complete 80-minute performance. Maintaining possession of the ball this week will be crucial to their success against the visiting side.

The Raiders and the Panthers have an equal head-to-head record, obtaining five wins each. The Raiders are in for a big game, looking to regain their position in the eight and settle the score against the Panthers.

Knock-On Effect NSW Cup

The NSW Cup will close off the exciting day of footy in the Capital, with the Canberra Raiders up against the Penrith Panthers at 6:15pm.

Both teams are off the back of impressive wins, with the Raiders taking down the Roosters 35-22 and the Panthers narrowly defeating the Sea Eagles 40-36.

The Raiders are currently 12th on the ladder and picking up momentum following a slow start to the season. Both sides now have three straight wins, and the Raiders aim to continue growing this streak.

The home side has a dominant history over the Panthers, with six wins against the side. Claiming victory in their last two meetings, the Raiders look to be a threat against the first-placed Penrith squad.

The Raiders have Chevy Stewart back in the line-up following his win in the Raiders first-grade side last week against the Titans. Kain Anderson also remains in the centres and looks to make a big impact after an impressive game last week, scoring three tries against the Roosters.

Canberra is set for a big finish to the day, and the Raiders will be eager to deliver in front of a home crowd.
