Canberra Raiders Cup: Round Four Wrap

Round Four of the Blumers Lawyers Canberra Raiders Cup is in the books, with three teams remaining undefeated in the opening month of the 2026 season. 

Queanbeyan Blues 32 def. West Belconnen Warriors 6 

The Queanbeyan Blues claimed an important victory against the West Belconnen Warriors at Seiffert Oval last Saturday. 

Jamie Mazzarol Kotz impressed for the home side scoring a double and continuing his try scoring form, whilst the middle forwards went strongly and laying a solid platform. 

Whilst for the Warriors it was a difficult afternoon at the office and the loss is there third of the season, Kuluni Vaipuna scoring their only try of the match. 

The Blues have the weekend off in Round Five with the bye, meanwhile the Warriors travel to Gungahlin for a must win matchup against the Bulls. 

Woden Valley Rams 45 def. Tuggeranong Bushrangers 18 

The Woden Valley Rams continued their excellent start to the 2026 season with a dominate display at home against the Tuggeranong Bushrangers. 

Halfback Josh Fattore continued his strong individual start to the season, guiding his side around the park and to their third win of the 2026 campaign. 

The loss for the Bushrangers sees them sit in seventh position, with the side suffering an injury blow, with the club sweating on the fitness of Liam Oakley.  

The Woden Valley Rams will face their biggest test of the season to date next weekend with a matchup against the Kangaroos, meanwhile the Bushrangers take on the Magpies at Greenway Oval. 

Belconnen United Sharks 50 def. Yass Magpies 22 

The Belconnen United Sharks continued their undefeated run in the Canberra Raiders Cup Competition with a comprehensive victory against the Yass Magpies at Walker Park. 

Gideon Afemui impressed for the visitors with the damaging centre causing havoc for the Magpies, scoring three tries, alongside a strong defensive display. 

Fullback Tristain Eldridge provided his team with plenty of spark out the back, whilst halfback Jordan Holten Williams managed the game professionally for his outfit. 

Meanwhile, for the Magpies the loss is their third straight after a strong opening fortnight, Lane Davis tried his heart out for Yass scoring a try and consistently trucking the ball back into the Sharks defence. 

The Magpies will look to bounce back next weekend against the Bushrangers at Greenway Oval, whilst the Sharks return to Bruce to face the Bulldogs. 

Queanbeyan Kangaroos 18 def. Gungahlin Bulls 10 

The Queanbeyan Kangaroos remain atop of the Canberra Raiders Cup competition after a hard-fought victory against the Gungahlin Bulls at home. 

In a tight contest of the middle of the field, Bayley Hitchcock stared for the home side scoring a try and getting through a mountain of work, as the Kangaroos continue to cement themselves as the team to beat once again. 

For the Bulls, they remain winless after three games, however, can take confidence from this weekend's performance against the minor premiers from last season, centres Josh Scholes and Nofoasa Lemalu scoring a try each. 

Gungahlin return home next weekend for a matchup against the West Belconnen Warriors, while for the Kangaroos, they'll look for five straight against the Rams.
