The Toyota Forklifts Canberra Raiders NSW & Jersey Flegg Cup sides came away with a win and loss following Saturday's double header at Seiffert Oval against Manly.

Knock-On Effect NSW Cup

The Canberra Raiders claimed a strong 35-16 win over the Sea Eagles to stay in touch with the top eight.

Manly jumped out to a quick 16-nil lead, sending alarm bells at Seiffert Oval as the visitors were chasing their second win of the season.

The Raiders got on their bike, scoring three tries in quick succession to even the score 16-all at halftime.

It was all one-way traffic in the second term with Raiders half Coby Black claiming a double to close out the important win.

The Raiders will turn their attention to the Dragons as they look to carry their momentum back at home this Sunday.

Jersey Flegg Cup

The Raiders JF Cup side suffered a tight 30-24 loss to the Sea Eagles on Saturday.

Canberra opened the game quickly, scoring four first half tries to lead the visitors 20-12 at halftime. 

Manly rallied in the second half with goal kicking being the difference, with Sea Eagles fullback William Herbert kicking five from five to claim their first win of the season.

The Raiders will look to bounce back at home against the Dragons this weekend.
