The Canberra Raiders are proud to announce that Tom Starling and Kaeo Weekes have become ambassadors for Ronald McDonald House ACT & South East NSW.
CEO of Ronald McDonald House ACT & South East NSW, Eoghan O’Byrne, said the organisation was thrilled to welcome both players as ambassadors.
“It’s fantastic to welcome Tom Starling and Kaeo Weekes as ambassadors for Ronald McDonald House ACT & South East NSW. Their support will help shine a light on the importance of our mission to keep families together during some of the toughest times imaginable. We’re incredibly grateful to the Canberra Raiders for their ongoing partnership.”
Tom visited the Ronald McDonald House facility, along with NRLW star Hollie-Mae Dodd where they toured the house, met with families, and visited patients on the ward. The visit provided an opportunity to connect with children and families while learning more about the vital support Ronald McDonald House provides.
Starling said he and Weekes were looking forward to helping where they could and assisting a wonderful local organisation.
“Kaeo and I are excited to be part of this organisation. They do wonderful things for the community and people going through tough times and if we can help out where we can and make people's day a bit better that’s a good thing.”
Raiders Community Manager Jessica Crisp said the club is proud to continue its strong relationship with Ronald McDonald House ACT & South East NSW.
“It’s incredibly important for our club to support organisations like Ronald McDonald House, who do so much for families during difficult times. Having Tom and Kaeo come on board as ambassadors is fantastic, and we know they’re both passionate about giving back to the community.”
The Canberra Raiders thank Ronald McDonald House ACT & South East NSW for welcoming the club and look forward to continuing to support the organisation throughout the year.
