English international Elliott Whitehead has been in prolific try scoring form early in the season, grabbing six tries from the first seven games.

He grabbed a double on the weekend in the loss to South Sydney and just manages to keep finding his way to the line.

Whitehead knows to be wary of the Cowboys after what they produced last year.

"You can't write the Cowboys off, if you saw what they did last year with all of their injuries and they went all the way.

We know its going to be a tough test but we will be doing everything we can to get the two points" Whitehead said.

The Raiders discipline will have to be better than it was against South Sydney to get the win in hot and humid conditions in Townsville.

"We just gave too many penalties away where they got set after set and we'll be looking to fix that up this week so we can show what we can do with the ball."
