SG Ball Cup
Canberra Raiders vs Balmain Tigers
5:45pm, Saturday 13th April, HE Laybutt Field
The Raiders will have a chance to move to the next round of the finals this week when they face the Balmain Tigers on Saturday.
The two teams met earlier in the season with the Tigers beating the Raiders 44-16 at Belconnen Oval. Canberra led Balmain 16-8 at half time but after losing Jacob Church and Nicolas Hall to injury the Raiders could not stop the Tigers from pouring on the points.
Coach Dean Souter believes that his side will be wanting to set the record straight this weekend with both team’s season on the line.
Balmain will also be searching for a win after losing to the Central Coast Roosters 42-14. The two clubs will face off in a sixth vs seventh finals matchup after the Raiders fell out of the top four last week after losing 28-22 to the Illawarra Steelers.
