Canberra Region Wheelchair Rugby League is excited to announce that they will be hosting a Come & Try Day in Wagga Wagga this coming Friday 7 May.
Held at the Bolton Park Stadium, the event will commence at 3:30pm with the afternoon’s activities ending at 5:00pm.
Wheelchair Rugby League is an all-inclusive sport, and we encourage everyone to come and roll in a chair, as this sport is for all ages, genders and abilities – for regular wheelchair users, and non-regular wheelchair users.
A few Canberra Raiders players will also be coming to try the sport, as well as local wheelchair rugby league players, Zac, Toby, Jimmy, Luke and Kale from Wagga Wagga, who participate in our Canberra Region Wheelchair competition.
The Come and Try Day will involve skills sessions to introduce the participants to the sport and then a mock scrimmage game demonstration will be played.
Wheelchairs can be provided, however if you have your own you are encouraged to bring it along to use.
