A disappointing weekend for the Raiders NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg sides, with both teams suffering losses.

Knock on Effect NSW Cup 

The Raiders Cup side went down 48-12 to the Bulldogs at Accor Stadium on Sunday. 

Things started well for the Raiders, with second rower Trey Mooney scoring in the first minute of play to give his side an early 4-0 lead. 

A great solo try to Xavier Savage and conversion to Sam Williams extended the visitors lead to 10-0 after eight minutes of play. 

The Bulldogs hit back with a try to winger Isaac Lumelume, before Williams kicked a successful penalty goal to put the Raiders ahead 12-4. 

Bulldogs five-eighth Brandon Wakeham and winger Jacob Kiraz both scored tries  at the end of the first half, with the scores locked at 12-12 at the half-time break. 

But from there it was all the Bulldogs, with the home side scoring six second half tries to claim the two points.

A late try to the Bulldogs cruelled the Raiders of a round two win, with the side going down by three points at Belmore Sports Ground on Saturday. 

Scores were locked at 14-14 with five minutes of play remaining, before Raiders five-eighth Thomas Casey nailed a field goal to put his side ahead 15-14. 

But Bulldogs centre Larson Doyle crossed the try-line with just two and a half minutes of play remaining to steal the win. 

Earlier, the Raiders jumped out to an early 10-0 lead after tries to Josh Billing and Steven Numambo. 

The Bulldogs hit back with a try to Samuel Kanaan, with the score 10-4 at the half-time break. 

Raiders winger Temple Beauchamp scored the first try of the second half, with the visitors extending their lead to 14-4. But the Bulldogs were able to level the scores at 14-14.
