The Canberra Region Rugby League regret to announce the passing of CRRL life member and Woden Valley Rams stalwart Peter Cox OAM.

Peter passed away peacefully last night surrounded by family after a long battle with illness.

CRRL Chairman Gary Green commented on the passing of Peter and the impact he had on rugby league within the Canberra region.

"Peter was a valued, long-term member of the CRRL community. Peter's valued service as an administrator at the Woden Valley Rams club and as a board member was appreciated, to be later valued as a life member," Green said.

"It is a sad day in rugby league to lose such a stalwart and a true gentleman," Green added.

The CRRL recognise the hard work of Peter and will forever appreciate his efforts and the legacy he leaves behind.

We extend our deepest condolences to the family of Peter and the Woden Valley Rams club during this tough time.
