The Blumers Lawyers Katrina Fanning Shield grand final awaits, where the Woden Valley Rams have clinched a grand final appearance in their debut season in the competition.

Woden Valley Rams 30 d Goulburn City Bulldogs 20

The Woden Valley Rams are through to the Katrina Fanning Shield final following a ten-point victory over the Bulldogs at Gungahlin Enclosed Oval on Sunday.

It was an entertaining and close contest from siren to siren with the Rams' experience shining through to help them secure a meeting with the undefeated Magpies at Seiffert Oval this coming Sunday.

The Rams were brilliant to start the match with winger April Downey making an 80-metre break to set up Woden’s first try. It was followed up by another try in the 16th minute which blew the Rams out to a 10-nil lead.

Goulburn City fought back to tie it up at 10-all but just before halftime Woden five-eighth Eloise Ryan found the line to put the Rams noses in front heading into a big second half.

Both sides were brought down to 12 players just after the break and Goulburn capitalised first, scoring under the post to level the scores once again.

However, the Rams managed to score back to back tries with a little over ten minutes to go which proved too much as the sides exchanged tries to end the match.

The loss brings to an end an amazing season from the Bulldogs who finished third coming into the postseason having only lost two games.

For the Rams, the biggest test of their year comes at Seiffert this Sunday as they try to do the impossible and defeat Yass for the first time in 2022.
