Team of the Year 2023: Prop
Congratulations to Aidan Woods of the Queanbeyan Kangaroos for his selection at prop in the 2023 Canberra Raiders Cup Team of the Year.
Woods had a superb season in 2023, leading the Roos from the front toward the Canberra Raiders Cup premiership.
Aidan is a role model forward for the squad, he’s hard working and sets the tone for the rest of the pack when he winds up from the back fence and rattles the opposition defensive line.
Reliable and consistent is the best way to describe Woods’ season, as he played 17 games while picking up four tries along the way.
The 30-year-old front rower has played rugby league in Queanbeyan his whole life, representing the Blues through juniors before transitioning to play most of his senior footy for the Roos, bar a few seasons with his junior club.
With a well-earned spot in the 2023 Team of the Year, the CRRL hope to see Woods continue to compete in the Canberra Raiders Cup competition for years to come.
